If you have tried to lose weight without successful or lasting results, bariatric surgery may be your best choice.

Our team of bariatric surgeons can provide an assessment of the most effective weight loss surgery for you.

Gastric sleeve surgery is one of the safest weight loss surgeries. Our team will start your screening from day 1 to reduce risk of complications. This procedure is performed laparoscopically to avoid large open incisions and reduce risk of infections or other complications.

How much weight will I lose?

With a gastric sleeve, patients can typically expect to lose up to 70% of excess weight. The Vertical Sleeve Gastrectomy usually results in body weight loss of 25 to 30 percent.

Most patients lose between 2 to 4 lbs per week for 6 to 12 months.

How is the surgery performed?

This procedure is done laparoscopically, inserting small instruments through multiple small incisions in the upper abdomen. During surgery, 80% of the stomach is removed, leaving a stomach about the size and shape of a banana.

Limiting the size of your stomach restricts the amount of food you are can consume. This procedure  also prompts hormonal changes that assist with weight loss. These same hormonal changes also help relieve conditions associated with being overweight, such as high blood pressure or heart disease.
